Organic cotton is naturally cultivated cotton ie. grown from non-genetically modified plant and without the use of any chemical fertilizers or pesticides. We use GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified yarn for weaving fabric. This certification is a credible assurance on the yarn authenticity.
Organic cotton fabric is good to skin especially for people with allergies and sensitive skin. Also highly recommended for babies and kids.
We @ Yaana are relentlessly working towards providing healthier clothing alternatives to our customers, using other natural fibres. In this effort we have made wearable products from Banana fibre, Hemp and Linen

RECYCLED PRODUCTS
Enormous waste generated from fast-fashion has pushed researchers to find a sustainable solution for handling textile waste. One of the most effective technique developed over the last decade is - Recovering or reclaiming the yarn from the textile waste and using that “Recycled yarn” for producing fabric.
There are mainly 2 sources of waste generation – (1) Post- industrial waste like waste from garment factories (2) Post- Consumer waste is like unwearable/used cloths.
We @ Yaana use Post-Industrial Recycled yarn for weaving. We face many challenges while weaving fabric using recycled yarn. But, recycle is inevitable. We are all geared up and motivated to put that extra effort to save our planet. Hope we are all together in this mission.
“If you are not buying recycled products, you’re not really recycling”.

UPCYCLED PRODUCTS
Fashion industry is the second largest polluting industry in the world. Disastrous impact on the environment is growing as this industry grows. Waste is generated at our unit also. With our current manufacturing process, it is impossible to attain zero waste in our production. We are conscious about our waste and we respond responsibly. We don’t want our waste to go to landfills.
So, we creatively “UpCycle”. This is our way towards a pollution-free-earth
@Yaana, we have promised ourselves that we will not throw any waste, especially non-biodegradable waste to mother earth. To achieve this, we are regularly brainstorming with designers and other like-minded companies to find ways of Upcycling this waste. We have been successful in adding creative and useful products to our list of Upcycled products.
Family members of our weavers come together and hand-craft these Upcycled products. They are supported by passionate designers
